Our School

Children come to St George's when they are seven and move on to their secondary education when they are eleven. During the four years that they spend with us we aim to harness their natural interest and curiosity so that they learn to work in a self disciplined and constructive way both alone and with others. In a positive and caring environment we aim to prepare children to develop self discipline, thinking and communication skills, taking responsibility for their own education and becoming life long learners. We have high expectations which lead to excellent academic achievement and ensure all children reach their full potential.

We have over time designed and developed a broad curriculum which is under constant review. As well as following the National curriculum we have adapted the national Numeracy and Literacy strategy. We are particularly proud of our pastoral support for pupils and the range and success of our extra curricular provision.
